The Untapped Potential of Building Products that Delight Users and Engineers.

Session Description:

Product designers and software developers are often seen as two separate worlds. But what happens when these two worlds collide? When product designers don’t understand the technical limitations of software development, they can create designs that are impossible to build. For example, they may design a complex user interface that is too difficult for developers to code. When software developers don't understand the user experience principles of product design, they can create products that are frustrating to use. For example, they may build a product with a confusing navigation system or a poor error message system. When these two disciplines don't work together effectively, the result can be products that are late, over budget, and ultimately unsuccessful. This talk will explore the untapped potential of building products that delight users and engineers. • We will discuss how these two disciplines can work together to create great products that delight both users and engineers. • We will also look at some of the challenges that can arise when these two disciplines are not working together effectively, and how to overcome these challenges. • We will also have an in-depth discussion on creating user-centred designs that are technically feasible. •Lastly, we will highlight the importance of building a culture of collaboration and communication between product designers and software developers. I am confident that this talk will be informative and engaging, and that it will help the audience to understand the importance of collaboration between product designers and software developers. Thank you for your time.
